G for

Page history last edited by Anonymous 2 yrs ago
G is for Gary the Green Gorilla who did not know about web 2.0.  He was a sad gorilla, so he went to an informative workshop to learn about web 2.0 tools like wiki and slide share.  He learned quite a bit and went on to teach other gorillas about web 2.0 tools and where to find the best bananas.  He was a gregarious green gorilla! Go Gary!

Here are some "take aways" from the Fairfield Conference.  After listening to Robert Noyd's presentation on the "Liverwort" hunt, it struck me that he created enthusiasm for the project by his students due to their involvement.  As a marketing teacher, I believe that he created a viral marketing campaign to create a "buzz"  about the project.  I believe that the social networking tools available in Web 2.0 offer the possibility of greater engagement for students.  I think that we could leverage blogs, social tagging sites and other tools to create enthusiasm on the part of our students.

G is for GRRRR because I can’t get on my page to write my G story. G could also stand for the GIRLS who are writing in word because someone else has logged into our wiki. G could also stand for GREAT big losers.
